The EDGE-X XLA 5 V2 is an externally powered, 3-way bi amplified line array module which integrates 2×10 inch low-mid,2×6.5-inch midrange and 2x 1-inch compression drivers in a very compact design and energy efficient design. The XLA 5 V2 is as a medium format line array system that can we used for a wide variety of events ranging from small, medium and even large-scale events. It meets the need for a compact, scalable and powerful system that can be flown or ground stacked for wide range of indoor and outdoor events.
The XLA 5 V2 is suited to a wide variety of applications. Its full range capability it qualifies for applications where subwoofers are not required.
Low- mid frequency section employs 2 x10 inch high excursion cone drivers mounted in bass reflex configuration to ensure powerful low frequency performance. Specially developed pairs of 6.5-inch mid drivers and 2×1 inch HF drivers are coupled to a large proprietary phase corrected MF/HF horn to ensure accurate summation, smooth frequency response, and precise horizontal dispersion throughout the MF/HF band. Dual 1inch exit high performance compression drivers are mounted on to two individual high frequency plane wave converters. The resultant planer wave is then coupled to the complex mid-high horn to ensure precise high frequency reproduction, and even arraying in all situations.
The XLA 5 V2 incorporates proprietary rigging systems on their sides for safe, easy and quick flying or stacking. The physical angles can be pre-set for a wider coverage before flying the system; permissible angles are from 0° to 12°. The XLA 5 V2 trapezoidal shape and rear located splay angle adjusters maintains the front spacing the same, providing the array with a continuous front baffle, for improved array performance.
The EDGE-X XLA 5 V2 is an energy efficient system that utilises only 2 channels of an amplifier to power 4 nos Line-array boxes due to the all 16 ohms LF and MHF sections. The XLA5 V2 can be flown or ground stacked for corporate events, theatres, indoor and outdoor venues. It is also suitable as a delay system for large scale outdoor sound reinforcement.
