The EDGE-X XLA 7 is 3 way line array loudspeaker system designed to bring outstanding line array performance to live sound and a variety of installations. Though compact in size, the EDGE X7+ is a full-bandwidth system and may be used without subwoofers for certain applications. It meets
the need for a versatile, scalable system that can be flown or ground stacked for wide range of events, indoor and outdoor. XLA 7’s may be complemented by the EDGE-X XLS 48, ELAN PRO LF7 PRO, LF9 PRO or EXTREME R ONE subwoofers for exceptional low frequency extension.
The XLA 7 is an externally powered, 3-way tri amplified line array module which integrates low, mid and high frequency transducers in a very compact design. Utilizing new horn loaded techniques and specially developed Eighteen Sound drivers the XLA 7 ensures very high output and superb quality from a very compact enclosure size.
Low frequency section employs dual 12 inch high excursion cone drivers mounted in bass reflex configuration to ensure powerful low frequency performance. Specially developed pairs of 8 inch mid drivers and 1.4 inch neodymium HF drivers are coupled to a large proprietary phase corrected MF/HF horn to ensure accurate summation, smooth frequency response, and precise horizontal dispersion throughout the MF/HF band. Dual 1.4 inch exit neodymium high performance compression drivers are mounted on to two individual high frequency plane wave converters. The resultant planer wave is then coupled to the complex mid-high horn to ensure precise high frequency reproduction, and even arraying in all situations.
The XLA 7 incorporates proprietary rigging systems on their sides for safe, easy and quick flying or stacking. The physical angles can be preset for a wider coverage before flying the system; permissible angles are from 0° to 12°. The XLA 7 trapezoidal shape and rear located splay angle adjusters maintains the front spacing the same, providing the array with a continuous front baffle, for improved array performance.
Despite the compact size, modules and arrays both deliver exceptionally high output capability and predictable pattern control. The XLA 7 can be flown or stacked in a variety of ways. The enclosure size, shape, weight and rigging are optimized for ease of transport and handling. Arrays may be easily flown or ground stacked.
